As we previously posted, the Redmi K40 smartphone series supports the MIUI 12.5 development version. The Redmi K40 and K40 Pro devices have opened the MIUI12.5-based development version experience with many improvements and new features.

Moreover, the MIUI development version internal test application for the above two models is currently available. Hence, users can now apply for the development version internal test. Besides, the development versions of the Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 7 Pro, and Xiaomi CC9e will be stopped on April 24, 2021.
The internal beta of the MIUI 12.5 development version is the test before its public beta. The most impressive thing is that updates are released every day. It is the version with frequent updates and timely fixes for new features in MIUI. Compared with the stable version of the system, this development version has timely test updates. On the other hand, the system is also unstable, and you will face a maintenance cycle. You need to manually refresh the stable version after stopping the maintenance.

Test Instructions of The MIUI 12.5 Development Version
- The version is unstable, and you need to backup important data to cloud service or local computer before upgrading,
- During the testing period, if there are any bugs or new feature suggestions, you can go to the discussion forum to submit feedback,
- Do not use the internal test flashing package to make illegal profits. Whenever they find out that, the upgrade authority will be canceled and your account will no longer be available.
The testing method is as follows: you need to click the button below the corresponding version to download the card swipe package. When the download is complete, you should go to the system update page and click “…” in the upper right corner. After that, you need to select the “manually install the update package” button and select the card you just downloaded.
