With the approach of September, we are sure all you are looking forward to the upcoming Apple New Product Launch Conference. Recently, we heard that Apple will release a product designed with the retro rainbow logo. But it still remains mysterious which products will come with such a colorful logo. Personally, we think it may be used on the iPhone and Mac series products.

Apple used the Rainbow Logo on the Macintosh in early 1984. However, for a long time, Apple has been using the all-white logo in order to achieve a simple design. Here is a quote from Apple designer Jony Ive:
There is the resonance with the rainbow logo that’s been part of our identity for many years. The rainbow is also a positive and joyful expression of some of our inclusion values and I think that one of the primary reasons the idea resonated so immediately and so profoundly with us was the form — the connection from an aesthetic design point of view. A semi-circle relates so beautifully and naturally to the form of the ring.

Of course, there is always a huge possibility this will stay at the state of rumor. In other words, Apple is a big company and we can hear various rumors all the time. But Apple is seeing significant sale drop recently. And there is every reason to think the Cupertino-based company may return to the origins and find the solution there. Anyways, we think if this is true, it would be a cool idea. We’d also like Apple to bring the glowing Apple logo back while they’re at it. Maybe the company can combine the two?
