Apple will launch its next-generation Apple Watch and iPhone products in September. According to the prediction of well-known industry analyst Guo Minghao, the OLED panel of Apple’s fifth-generation Apple Watch will be produced by Japan Display. According to the latest report of Tianfeng Securities, the initial Japan Display will receive up to 20% of OLED orders. Also by the end of 2021, this number will increase to 80%.
Guo Mingxi also said that Apple would gradually increase the proportion of LG’s OEM production of OLED displays in the future. Also, a new Chinese manufacturer BOE will add to the supply chain to diversify its supply chain.
Now, the information about the new Apple Watch series equipment is still relatively small. Only Guo Minghao had predicted that the new Apple Watch would join the “new ceramic shell design”. However, he did not explicitly mention the specific model of the fifth-generation Apple Watch. Reuters has previously reported that Japan Display will begin to supply OLED displays for Apple Watch. But it also does not specify which model of the fifth-generation Apple Watch.
The fifth-generation Apple Watch expects to showcase Apple’s new product launch with the iPhone 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max on September 10. It is expected that Apple will release a new 16-inch MacBook Pro and three new iPads soon.
