Tonight, Xiaomi released the world’s first mass-produced transparent TV – the Mi Master OLED transparent TV. It sports a 55-inch OLED screen, which has a 120Hz refresh rate. The price is 49,999 yuan ($7198). For this price, Lei Jun admitted that the cost is too high, but he said that this is also the world’s first mass-produced transparent TV. First sale in all channels are set on August 16.

The Xiaomi Mi Transparent TV adopts a transparent OLED screen, abandoning the traditional backplane. At the same time, in the extremely small pixel space, the circuit and micro devices are precisely arranged and designed to bring a subversive transparent form.
