This morning, Xiaomi officially announced the Xiaomi router AX1800. The pre-sale will open at 10 a.m. on May 15 and the price will be 299 yuan ($42).
The Xiaomi router AX1800 has the following highlights:

The Xiaomi router AX1800 debuted Qualcomm’s 5-core enterprise chip. This enterprise-grade chip, used in home routing, is always online at all times. It has a 4-core 64-bit A53 CPU + independent NPU module, surging computing power. So the processor can handle any task. There is an independent NPU, coming to handle network traffic, multi-application concurrent without pressure, and coming with a faster data processing capability. This chip uses a 14nm latest generation process technology, which has a higher integration and lower power consumption.
As a reminder, Xiaomi has previously released the Wi-Fi 6 router AX3600. So it turns out the AX1800 is Xiaomi’s second Wi-Fi 6 router.
