We have learned that VIVO S9 will hold a new product launch conference on March 3. During the conference, the first MediaTek Dimensity 1100 phone will be shown. The Dimensity 1100 chip is a high-end processor that MediaTek launched in January 2021.
The CPU consists of 4 2.6GHz A78 and 4 2GHz A55 cores. Also, it integrates the ARM G77 MC9 GPU. At the same time, the Dimensity 1100 also supports up to 100MP lens, a 144Hz refresh rate, WiFi 6 and other features. Moreover, it supports dual-channel UFS 3.1.

Compared with the Snapdragon 870, the Dimensity 1100 has advantages in multi-core. But it is slightly inferior to the Snapdragon 870 in terms of single core. Considering that the price of MediaTek has always been relatively advantageous, the price-performance ratio of models featuring the Dimensity 1100 is worth looking forward to.

According to the information released by a Weibo blogger, the Dimensity 1100’s AnTuTu running score reached about 580,000, including 160,000 for the CPU sub-item and 210,000 for the GPU sub-item. For comparison, most of the models currently equipped with the Dimensity 1000+ are around 520,000 points, an increase of about 60,000 points. The whistleblower also said that the game power consumption of Dimensity 1100 is lower than that of the Dimensity 1000+, the frame rate is higher, and the actual performance is not bad.
