Huawei Has Signed Up to 50 5G Contracts Worldwide

According to Huawei’s 5G product line vice president Gan Bin, this year, the company will have 60 commercial contracts. Compared with 3G and 4G, the development speed of 5G is unprecedented. South Korea announced 5G commercialization on April 3 and now has 1 million users. It is estimated that within five years, 5G users worldwide will reach 500 million. Huawei executive also said that the company has already obtained more than 50 5G commercial contracts worldwide, and shipped more than 150,000 base stations worldwide.

5G is the next generation of cellular technology, and the download speed is reported to be 10 to 100 times faster than current 4G LTE networks. In addition to faster data download and upload speeds, 5G technology is expected to cover a wider range and more stable connections.

5g contracts

Huawei is quite optimistic about its future. The company said it is well prepared for China’s 5G commercial. Last year, the company launched the world’s first 5G call and launched the first 5G terminal device.

Apart from this, yesterday, we learned that China’s 3C certification center had already registered up to 8 5G smartphones. Not surprisingly, 4 out of 8 belong to Huawei. The rest four models come our way from Xiaomi, VIVO, OPPO, and ZTE. Thus, almost all China-based first-tier smartphone makers have registered 5G-enabled handsets. No other country in the world has registered so many 5G smartphones.

These numbers show Huawei is a leader in China. And if there was no US ban, it would be a leader in the world as well. Although, even with such restrictions, the company has managed to sign too many contracts for 5G network and equipment.
