Snowden Challenged Facebook/Instagram Privacy

According to the US media reports, Edward Snowden challenged both Facebook and Instagram on Thursday regarding privacy. This will further accentuate the surveillance allegations against these companies.

Snowden said in a tweet: “In the next few weeks, my goal is to explain how each website monitors you, and there are ways to limit their understanding of you. If you want to use these methods, respect Please pay attention.” This message is also linked to his Instagram account.

He alsp said he would publish his own memoir, Permanent Record, in September. Snowden also released a YouTube ad for the book.

Snowden became famous in 2013 when he broke the National Prism (NSA) “prism” monitoring program to the Guardian and the Washington Post.
