Huawei Teases Kirin 990 Mobile Chipset Launch Video for September 6

The Chinese company Huawei officially released a promo video named Kirin 990 Warm-up ahead of the IFA 2019 in Berlin on September 6. The YouTube video doesn’t present the detailed spec-sheet but confirmed the launch date and name of the handset in 5G evolution.

As per the reports, Huawei will officially launch its flagship smartphone with HiSilicon Kirin 990 processor in IFA 2019 event in Berlin on 6th of September. Further, the company also posted a teaser video on YouTube, which confirmed the name and launch date.

What the video contains is the 5G evolution because the device will have an inbuilt Balong 5000 5G modem. Similarly, the Chinese company is also all set to trigger the anticipated Huawei Mate 30 Series soon. It is expected to line up the Mate 30 Lite, Mate 30, and Mate 30 Pro.

Correspondingly, the rumors are hinting that the Mate 30 Pro and Mate 30 might install the Kirin 990 SoC. Along with, the Mate X is also expected to feature the latest chipset with Balong 5000 5G modem.

The Kirin 990 processor will be produced on TSMC’s 7nm EUV process to ensure 20% greater transistor density to result in increased power efficiency. Moreover, the reports from Neowin mentioned that the Kirin 990 SoC will facilitate you to record 4K videos in 60fps. Therefore, it will prevent you from choosing the high frame rate and high resolution every time you use the camera.

As we know that the previous Mate series had the Kirin 970 SoC on P20 Pro and Kirin 980 on the Mate 20 and P30 Pro. Now, it is expected the successor will house the Kirin 990 version on the chipset.

The Mate 30 series is likely to be launched on September 19 in Munich, Germany.
