In fact, we are hearing about this product for the first time. So as our protagonist has already got certified, there is every reason to think the Samsung Galaxy Book S may manage to appear on the stage at the Galaxy Note 10 conference.
As the Bluetooth certification document shows, the Samsung Galaxy Book S is going to be a 2-in-1 device. It will be powered by Windows 10 operating system. Also, it will use Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8cx platform. Many analysts and users forecast that the Samsung Book S uses the Snapdragon 8cx platform to support 5G network. But this does not mean that the Galaxy Book S will also be a 5G tablet.
In May Qualcomm announced its new SoC, the Snapdragon 8cx processor. At the time it was stated that the first Windows and ARM PCs with a Snapdragon 8cx SoC would appear in the third quarter of 2019. This chipset will probably also be found in the new 2-in-1 from Samsung.
The Samsung Galaxy Book series first appeared in 2017. If the Book S performs well, it is likely to compete directly with Microsoft’s Surface products. As for the current model from this line, the Galaxy Book 2 was introduced in October last year. It’s a 10-inch OLED screen device powered by Windows 10. It also supports stylus as well as keyboard. Under the hood, this device carries a Snapdragon 850 chip, and it’s priced at $1000.
At last, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 smartphone conference will be held on August 9. In addition to this large-screen smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 smartwatch has been confirmed to attend the event as well.
