Everyone knows that Xiaomi will launch a new tablet after three years of pause. And we also know that this tablet is going to make a tough competition to the top-end models such as the iPad Pro and the Huawei MatePad 11. Well, not all models, but the Pro variant will do it for sure. We have got tons of leaks and official information confirming this or that feature of the upcoming Xiaomi tablet. And today, a suspected Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 engineering drawing was exposed, showing the product structure, materials and functional components. This tablet, code-named K82, has a straight frame design and a rear camera similar to the Mi 11.
From the engineering drawing, we can see that there are two openings on the top of the front panel. They ought to correspond to the front camera and the proximity sensor. There is a dedicated interface on the left side of the tablet, which is expected to be used to connect a physical keyboard and a protective cover. On the right side of the tablet, a wireless charging port for the stylus is marked with a nano-injection process. In addition, the tablet will also have four speakers. The power button is located at the top right corner; the volume button is located on the right; the bottom uses a Type-C interface.
According to previous news, the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 will include three versions, of which K82 model is expected to be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 chip. Its screen should be 10.95 inches and have a 2K resolution as well as a 120Hz refresh rate support. The tablet will run on the MIUI 12.5 system.
