Regrettably, Xiaomi has not officially disclosed any information about the machine, nor has it announced any news about the time of the press conference.

According to previous reports, the Mi Pad 5 series will launch two products at the same time, including Mi Pad 5 and Mi Pad 5 Pro. The Pro version will focus on the high-end market benchmarking the flagship high-end products of rivals such as iPad and Huawei Mate Pad Pro.

In addition to the support of the flagship processor, it’s said that the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 Pro will sport a 2K resolution LCD screen, which supports 120Hz refresh rate, 240hz touch sampling rate, and also supports 4096-level touch and In-Cell active pen technology. Its 11-inch full screen will be provided by TCL Huaxing and come with a 16:10 ratio. So it can bring more delicate and smooth display effects to large-screen devices. It supports stylus pens. The tablet’s length and width will be 147.41mm*235.85mm.

Xiaomi’s internal executives also revealed that the MIUI for Pad system will be developed specifically for tablet products. Similar to the MIX FOLD folding screen, it will support the handheld PC mode and provide a familiar computer operation interface, including the classic start menu and control center. It can also open multiple windows at the same time, bringing a richer user experience and getting rid of the title of “big screen smartphone”.

As for the price, it is reported that the starting price of the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 Snapdragon 870 version is expected to be set within 3000 yuan ($463), which will have a considerable impact on the existing Android tablet market and is worth looking forward to.
