Xiaomi has been in the notebook business since 2013. But the past 5-6 years were enough for the company to occupy a large market share not only in the domestic market but also in other markets, such as India. It’s naïve to say the success in the notebook business is identical to that of the smartphone business because the Xiaomi notebooks are not very cheap. Instead, they always bring the most balanced performance at the most affordable pricing. That’s another reason why the users are waiting for the next-gen Xiaomi laptop. This morning, Xiaomi officially announced through Weibo that the upcoming model will be unveiled in Shanghai ChinaJoy on August 4. The selling points of the new laptop will be the long-term battery life, fast cooling, and strong experience.

However, this is not the first time when we hear news about the forthcoming Xiaomi laptop. Previously mysmartprice broke the news, saying that Xiaomi will update its gaming notebook series. It’s expected to sport an RTX 2060 or GTX 1660 Ti graphics cards. Subsequently, the deputy general manager of the notebook computer division of Xiaomi Group said that ‘you can buy it right away’. In addition, the company also hinted that the new Xiaomi gaming notebook will be equipped with a 144Hz refresh rate screen.
In fact, the company already has managed to release a few models packed with the latest generation Intel chips. So if the only upgrade will refer to the graphics performance, many users won’t agree to pay a fortune for it. But Xiaomi always has a trump card. So we should wait for more.
