Poco Smartphone to Be the First With Snapdragon 732G Onboard

Today, Qualcomm officially released the new Snapdragon 732G mobile processor. This is an upgraded version of the mid-range Snapdragon 730G processor. There are two Qualcomm Kryo 470 CPUs clocked at 2.3GHz (previously 2.2GHz). And the remaining six Kryo 470 CPUs have a 1.8GHz clock speed. It integrates an enhanced Qualcomm Adreno 618 GPU. Its graphics rendering capabilities increased by 15%.

In addition to these performance improvements, the Snapdragon 732G also supports a selection of Snapdragon Elite Gaming experiences. It allows players to experience seamless and ultra-realistic games in more than 1 billion color tones.

The Snapdragon 732G uses an 8nm manufacturing process. The LTE peak download speed is 800 Mbps. The LTE peak upload speed is 150 Mbps. And it supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, 4K/30fps video shooting, 1080p/120fps, 720p/240fps slow motion video shooting.

The Snapdragon 732G is equipped with the fourth-generation Qualcomm artificial intelligence engine. It provides intuitive interaction and predictive user experience through distributed intelligence that is twice as powerful as the previous generations. It helps to improve the energy efficiency of the battery.

Poco Smartphone To Debut Snapdragon 732G

Qualcomm and Xiaomi officially stated that this new Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G processor will first appear on Xiaomi’s POCO brand smartphones.

‘The Snapdragon 732G will bring a powerful gaming experience, artificial intelligence and superior performance on complex devices,’ said Kedar Kondap, vice president of product management at Qualcomm Technologies. ‘We are very happy to cooperate with POCO to launch a new POCO smartphone equipped with enhanced Snapdragon 732G globally.’

‘We are very excited about the upcoming POCO smartphone and the cooperation with Qualcomm Technologies, which allows us to create the first terminal on the market that uses the latest Snapdragon 732G mobile platform,’ said Sam Jiang, POCO Global Product Leader. Also, he added, ‘We believe that this terminal will set a new benchmark in the mid-range product category and completely redefine the relationship between mobile phone prices and their functions.’
