Alleged Redmi 8 Series Passed Through TENAA

Recently, a new Redmi smartphone with a model of M1908C3IC was officially entered into the network through the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. According to the official website information, the ‘Certificate Photo’ shows that the phone uses a water drop screen design. At the same time, there is a dual-camera on the back, which is placed in the upper middle part arranged vertically.  The phone also has a fingerprint recognition module on the rear above the Redmi logo. Seems we are dealing with the Redmi 8.

However, the specific model of this new machine is still not clear. But when looking at the design of this handset, we understand it is likely to be the entry model of Redmi. At present, the Redmi entry series has been updated to Redmi 7. So there is every reason to think it will be the Redmi 8 or Redmi 8A. Considering that the Redmi will launch the world’s first 64MP machine this year, this smartphone is likely to be the ‘green leaf’ to set off the new machine.

According to information from previous reports, the 64MP new machine of Redmi will adopt the rear quad-camera. But we should also point out that the camera will be based on the 64-megapixel Samsung GW1 sensor. Thus, this is not a genuine 64MP camera. It will be able to capture such a resolution photo only in the sufficient-light environment. But when there is no sufficient light source, the resolution will be dropped to 12MP. At the same time, it may adopt the waterdrop screen design and carry the MediaTek Helio G90T chip, which is aiming at gaming. But you understand the Redmi 8 won’t come with such features. It will sport more modest specs.
