What is the most powerful smartphone of Huawei currently? The P30 series? Well, you are right. But we bet you can’t answer the next question. How will be called the next-gen Huawei flagship? The Huawei P40? Nope! Today, Letsgodigital reports that the Chinese smartphone manufacturer registered the P300, P400 and P500 trademarks.
As the source claims and as you should know, the company‘s high-end smartphone models include the P series and the Mate series. At present, the latest P series phone P30 was launched in 2019. It consists of three models: Huawei P30, P30 Pro, and P30 Lite. Logically, the P40 series should be released in 2020. However, Huawei recently announced three new trademarks, and Letsgodigital speculated that Huawei may consider changing its name or launching more P-series models.
On August 2, 2019, the Chinese tech giant submitted three trademark applications to the UK IPO (Intellectual Property Office). As you see, the names are P300, P400, and P500. The three trademarks are classified as category 9 with descriptions: smartphones, mobile phones, and tablets. These applications were submitted by the company from Forresters. Recently, the company also submitted the trademark names of ‘Air Glass’ and ‘SuperSensing’, possibly for the Mate 30 series.
Letsgodigital said that Huawei had never released a three-digit P-series phone before. So even the new trademarks are already submitted, it is difficult to predict whether the Huawei P300, P400 and P500 series will be launched ever.
