iQOO 7 Design

The iQOO series of smartphones are partial to gaming phones, but on the iQOO 7, the design is not so obvious in the style of gaming phones. There are three appearances of black mirror, latent blue and legendary version.

Among them, the black mirror version adopts a tough middle frame + same-color heterogeneous design. The back shell is composed of two layers of Gorilla 5 glass and a middle texture layer. The outermost uses an AG glass, which is delicate to the touch and does not easily leave fingerprints.

The back cover of the latent blue version is also composed of two layers of glass and a middle texture layer. It looks silver blue but is actually closer to silver white. With the change of viewing angle and light, this blue is also different.

There is also the iQOO 7 legendary version, which continues the design style of the previous iQOO 5 Pro legendary version. The cooperation with BMW M Motospoort brings a rich track aesthetic design. The middle frame is also upgraded to marine-grade aluminum alloy, with a large area of pure white.

In terms of screen, the iQOO 7 sports a 6.62-inch AMOLED full screen with a resolution of 2400×1080, a screen-to-body ratio of 91.4%, a 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 800nit, and a local maximum of 1300nit. It supports SGS low blue light eye protection.

iQOO 7 Hardware

The hardware is naturally one of the biggest highlights of the iQOO 7 smartphone. The first is the unsuspecting Snapdragon 888. This is one of the strongest 5G platforms this year. The 5nm process has an 8-core architecture. Its large Cortex-X1 core’s frequency can reach 2.84GHz.

Compared with the previous generation, the CPU performance of Snapdragon 888 has been improved by 25%, and energy efficiency has also been improved by 25%.

The Adreno 660 used by Snapdragon 888 has improved performance by 35% and energy efficiency by 20% compared with the previous generation. It also supports 144Hz high-refresh rate, true 10-bit HDR, surreal enhanced image quality (Game Color Plus), and fast mixing (Fast Blending), GPU driver update and other advanced technologies.

The Snapdragon 888 also integrates the Snapdragon X60 baseband. It’s the first to support third-generation millimeter waves, frequency bands below 6GHz and carrier aggregation. Plus, it’s the first to support FDD, TDD 5G carrier aggregation.

In addition to the Snapdragon 888, the iQOO 7 also uses an LPDDR5-6400 memory, an enhanced UFS 3.1 flash storage, etc. The maximum memory volume is 12GB, while the maximum volume of the storage is256GB. As a result, its AnTuTu running score exceeds 750,000 points.

Everything For Smoother Gaming

In addition to powerful performance, heat dissipation is also the key to game performance. The iQOO 7 comes with a 4K-level power pump liquid cooling system. The heat dissipation plate area is as high as 4096mm2, which is the largest area in the industry.

Compared with ordinary soaking plate phones, the body temperature of the iQOO 7 is lowered by 1.5 degrees, and the CPU temperature is lowered by 2 degrees. So long-term game play will not reduce the frequency and affect the gaming experience.

As for battery, the iQOO 7 sports a 4000mAh dual-cell battery, which supports 120W super fast charging, and customized a charge pump chip with a conversion efficiency of 98.5% . It can be fully charged in 15 minutes. At the same time, the size of the charger is only equivalent to the traditional 65W charger. It can intelligently identify other FlashCharge fast charging models, prevent private agreements and cracks, and improve security.

iQOO 7

As a game-oriented smartphone, the QOO 7 has also made a lot of optimizations for the game, bringing a 120Hz high-refresh rate, next-generation full-sensing touch experience.

The screen of iQOO 7 supports pressing the left and right areas separately, corresponding to two pressure operations. The logic is the same as the traditional pressure-sensitive shoulder button. But it is simpler to use.

The  iQOO 7 also has dual-line motors. When playing games on the horizontal screen, you can feel the delicate touch brought by the dual motors. The game has a more realistic and accurate vibration.

In other aspects, the iQOO 7 also supports 4D game vibration, bi-linear speakers, Tencent Gvoice voice system, Hi-Fi high-definition music, Super Audio sound effects, 4096-level hardware backlight and other functions.

Based on these excellent performances, the iQOO 7 will also be designated as a KPL official gaming phone.

Camera

The iQOO 7 has a 16-megapixel selfie shooter on the front and a super-sensitive three-camera on the rear. The main camera has a 48MP resolution. It cooperates with Sony to customize the IMX598 sensor and supports OIS.

The other two lenses are a 13-megapixel professional portrait lens and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle macro lens. The latter supports ultra-clear pixel shift, RAW HDR 2.0, super night scene 5.0, black light night vision 2.0, panoramic night scene/HDR, old photo coloring, etc.

Our protagonist runs on the OriginOS system, which is optimized for the iQOO 7 phones.
