After experiencing Oppo Reno and Oppo Reno 10x zoom phones, now the company is all set to come with its successor Oppo Reno 2 series on August 28. The smartphone is ready to hit the Indian market first instead of the home market in China. The company has also stated the phone will expand its availability to other markets soon.
Features of OPPO Reno 2
After the announcement, the company officials also revealed that the phone will support the 20x zoom. Notably, it is the first time any smartphone is going to impart this feature. The teaser poster also suggests the phone will provide a side-swing selfie camera similar to the Oppo Reno series.
The Oppo Reno series was launched in April this year and got the Indian market after a month in May. Moreover, these 10x zoom version had the triple-camera setup, while the base version had only the dual-camera setup on the back.
Now, Oppo said that the Oppo Reno 2 series will conclude a quad-camera setup on the rear side. In addition, this series will also provide 20x zoom technique, which is expected to use the hybrid zoom solution. You will also get Snapdragon 730G processor and the quad-camera setup is made of 48MP+13 MP+8 MP+2 MP sensors.
Similarly, the 16 MP ‘Shark-fin pop-up selfie camera’ will also trickle down on this series from the previous versions.
We hope to get multiple versions of the Oppo Reno 2 series, but we have no information on it yet. Why is the company looking to launch the phone first in India? It shows the company’s commitment to the Indian market and audience.
As of today, we have little to know but can expect more teasers from the company before the launch on August 28.
