Xu Qi, vice president of Realme, president of China, and president of global marketing released a real photo of Realme Race on Weibo today. It is reported that the machine is a plain leather version of the original Realme Race.
Earlier, it was known that the smartphone has 12GB RAM and 256GB storage onboard. Moreover, the smartphone runs Android 11 with Realme UI 2.0 on top. Now we get official confirmation that Race is just a codename. And the smartphone is a part of a new series. Xu Qi also revealed that Race is just the code name of the new Realme machine. And the name of the new Realme series will be “super cool.” This machine is Realme’s first Snapdragon 888 flagship and will be released in 2021.
Surprisingly, the photos Xu Qi posted on the real phone are not the same as the previous photos on the Internet. It seems that the previous photos are fake. Realme Race has a 64-megapixel four-camera on the rear, using a familiar rectangular module.
Realme’s first Snapdragon 888 smartphone
The smartphone has the Realme logo located on the right side of the cameras, with “Power Design” written next to it. You can also notice the power button on the right side of the phone has a yellow accent. And since it doesn’t have a fingerprint scanner embedded in it, you can expect the phone to come with an in-display solution.
In addition, we have learned that Realme has confirmed that it will be one of the first brands to launch phones sporting Snapdragon 888. Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth also mentioned that the phone will come to India in 2021. The company, however, didn’t provide any further details.
Prior to Realme Race, Xiaomi will launch the world’s first Snapdragon 888 smartphone Mi 11. To remind you, it is scheduled to be launched on December 28.
