At the end of July, Redmi launched the entry machine Redmi 9A, priced at 599 yuan (4GB+64GB). This is about $86.
Today, some users have found out that the Redmi 9A also has a standard version. The 2GB+32GB version costs 499 yuan ($71), and it is available in sand black, clear sky blue, and lake green.

This is currently the lowest-priced smartphone in the Redmi product line. Also, it’s Xiaomi’s cheapest MIUI 12 smartphone (the device comes with MIUI 12 system).

MIUI 12 is a new customization system of Xiaomi that came in the first half of the year. It uses a new system animation design. The company emphasizes that MIUI 12 is very realistic. Relying on the physics engine, MIUI’s desktop icons also achieve elegant spatial movement.
Not only that, MIUI 12 brings many thoughtful features to the Redmi 9A. They include new contacts hiding unnecessary added information, default handwriting input method, unofficial app store downloading app pop-up window for second confirmation, answering phone calls and direct full screen display floating notifications and more.
In terms of the core configuration, the Redmi 9A uses a 6.53-inch water drop screen. Under the hood, it carries the MediaTek Helio G25 processor. On the back, we can find a 13Mp single-camera module. And it has a battery capacity of 5000mAh.
Lu Weibing, president of Xiaomi Group China and general manager of the Redmi brand, said that the mission of Redmi 9A is to reshape the entry-level phone market. No matter how much the user spends on a smartphone, it must be a good product with reliable quality and experience.
