Considering that the K series is Redmi’s flagship product line, it’s logical to see MediaTek’s flagship SoC this year, the Dimensity 1000+. We mean the Redmi K40 5G may use this 5G chip and make a tough competition to the high-end 5G models on the market.

It is reported that the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ is built on the 7nm process. Also, it uses an ARM flagship Cortex A77 + Mali-G77 architecture design. The octa-core CPU frequency is up to 2.6GHz. And the highly heterogeneous design APU 3.0 brings a powerful AI experience. Its AnTuTu score exceeds 530,000 points.

Xiaomi’s new model M2006J10C is currently licensed for Internet access. It is rumored that this new Xiaomi device should be Redmi K40 5G. It will come with the charger model MDY-11-EX. This is the same adapter as the Redmi K30 Pro and supports 33W fast charging.

The handset may be unveiled in July.
