Prior to this, Xiaomi had already obtained a 3C certification for a new 5G model M2006J10C, and it was speculated that it might be the Xiaomi CC series. However, it may seem that this is not the case now. According to the latest news disclosed by some users, this model will be the legendary new Redmi K40 series machine. The internal codename is ‘Cezanne’ and it will be equipped with the Dimensity 1000+ processor and a full screen with a pop-up camera. The production version only supports 120Hz refresh rate. There is also a 64MP main camera and 4500mAh battery. We are waiting for it to come in July.

The Redmi K30 Standard Edition officially debuted at the end of December last year. And now it seems that it is time to launch an upgraded product. Although the authenticity of the news has yet to be confirmed, other users have already exposed the Redmi K40’s Weibo tail test information in early June. Therefore, combined with the previous statement, the tested Redmi Dimensity 1000 series new machine will debut in the third quarter of this year. This simply means that the Redmi K40 Standard Edition may indeed meet us in July.
Is This The Redmi K40?
It is worth mentioning that some insiders also said that the internal code name of Redmi’s upcoming K series product is indeed Cezanne. Not long ago, in the newly developed version of the MIUI12 system, we found the code name of ‘Da Vinci’. As a reminder, the Redmi K20 series also appeared with the ‘Cezanne’ code name. So there is almost no doubt that the next generation of Redmi K series new machine will come with a lifting camera design. However, we should admit it is slightly different from the rumors that the new machine is equipped with a 144Hz refresh rate LCD display.
As for the other specifications of this new flagship of the K series, now we can confirm it will sport a Dimensity 1000+ processor, a 64MP rear quad-camera and a Sony IMX686 sensor. The battery capacity is about 4500mAh and it supports 33W fast charging technology.
