Recently, the well-known DxOMark camera evaluation agency released the Redmi Note 8 Pro camera review. It turns out the Note 8 Pro rear camera scored 84 points. Besides, the device scored 87 points for taking pictures and 78 points for videos. From the ranking point of view, this product is comparable to the Nokia 9 PureView and the Black Shark gaming phone 2.

DxOMark said that the Redmi Note 8 Pro’s autofocus and bokeh modes perform well. In the meantime, the product details and dynamic range are poor, even though it is equipped with a 64MP lens. Due to the lack of a telephoto lens, the zoom effect of the Note 8 Pro is also not ideal. Although the wide-angle lens brings a larger angle of view, it has a small dynamic range and few details.

In terms of video, DxOMark affirmed the exposure, color and electronic image stabilization of the smartphone. The device disadvantage is dynamic range and detail performance.

The Redmi Note 8 Pro was released by Redmi in August last year. Its rear carries a 64-MP main camera + 8-MP super-wide-angle + 2-MP depth of field + 2-MP macro lens combination. In terms of performance, the smartphone uses the MediaTek Helio G90T processor. Official data show that as of the end of November 2019, the global sales of the Redmi Note 8 series have reached 10 mln units.
Although the smartphone did not get a high score, the starting price of 1199 yuan ($172) is still very attractive for customers with a small budget.
