Today, Sharp officially announced it will provide a special service to SoftBank. The specially developed 5G mobile communication system pre-service will be launched by Softbank by the end of July. Simply put, the Sharp Aquos R3 5G variant will be slightly modified for SoftBank subscribers.

The phone is based on Sharp’s latest flagship model, the AQUOS R3, and is capable of handling the 5G band “Sub6 (less than 6 GHz band)” and “millimeter wave (such as the high band of the 28 GHz band).” In this 5G pre-service, it is used as a special device for verifying network configuration and network transmission/reception of various services.
Sharp R3 Features
In May of this year, Sharp officially released the AQUOS R3 in Japan. The design of the product is not the same as that of the existing mainstream smartphones. If you remember, it uses a double-bangs design, while retaining the design of the water drop screen.

In terms of appearance, the Sharp AQUOS R3 is equipped with a 6.2-inch screen. Seems nothing surprising with this display. But it comes with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 2K resolution, and an LCD material. The double-bangs screen design makes the chin have a small bangs area. In fact, it carries the fingerprint recognition module.
On the back, the Sharp Aquos R3 sports a vertically arranged dual-camera. The front camera has a 16.3MP resolution, while the main camera comes with a 12.2MP + 20MP sensors combination. It supports 125 ° super wide-angle shooting. There are two color options available for purchase at the moment (black and white). But it’s promised to have up to 5 variants.

Finally, under the hood, the AQUOS R3 is equipped with a Snapdragon 855 flagship processor. The latter is supplemented with a 6GB + 128GB storage combination. The battery capacity is 3200mAh, which supports 11W wireless fast charge.
