Xiaomi ‘Cas’ Phone Obtained 3C Certification With 120W Charger

Today, a new Xiaomi phone with a model M2007J1SC has obtained 3C certification. Its charger model is MDY-12-ED. The output power of the charger is up to 120W. It is still uncertain whether this Xiaomi phone will support 100W fast charge or 120W fast charge.

It is worth noting that XDA found traces of the machine in the MIUI 12 code. Its code name is ‘CAS’. The code in MIUI 12 indicates that the processor of the Xiaomi CAS is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865, and the main camera has a 48MP resolution. It should be noted that there is no difference between Snapdragon 865 and Snapdragon 865 Plus in this particular code segment.

XDA pointed out that the Xiaomi CAS originally planned to use a 108MP. Recently, engineers modified the MIUI code to show that its main camera is 48MP. Also, it is expected to come with a telephoto lens and an ultra-wide-angle lens. This simply means that the Xiaomi CAS at least will have three sensors. However, we think these sensors’ number is not final, and the system may have four or even five lenses. Plus, it should support moon mode.

In addition, XDA said that the Xiaomi CAS may be a special edition of the product. Thus, it may be sold in mainland China only. Its specific name is currently uncertain.

The handset will be unveiled in very early August at the earliest. If this information is true, Xiaomi won’t lay behind OPPO and VIVO. We mean they have already launched their 120W and 125W fast charging technologies. So Xiaomi should do its best to stay afloat.
