Xiaomi Mi MIX Fold Phone’s Renderings Leaked

The world’s first folding screen smartphones are considered to be the Samsung Galaxy Fold and the Huawei Mate X Folding handset. But there have been other companies introduced the concept models of their own folding handsets. It’s not difficult to guess Xiaomi was among them. However, we haven’t seen a final product that is ready to go on the sale. But this also doesn’t mean Xiaomi has given up with this idea. Today, TechConfigurations exposed a set of Xiaomi Mi MIX Fold phone renderings. This is the first news concerning the new Xiaomi folding phone, introduced in January this year.

The new Xiaomi Mi MIX Fold seems to draw on some things from Huawei Mate X, Galaxy Fold, and add some extra things at the top. Interestingly, TechConfigurations chose to put the device into the Mi Mix series. The latter is a typical experimental line that includes a side-to-side screen, a ceramic back, a lower-position selfie camera, and so on.

These renderings show the phone will sport a rear triple-camera as well as a front camera. When phone unfolded the OLED screen size will reach 8 inches. But when it’s folded, it will be 6.6 inches. In other words, when you want to use it as a tablet, just unfold it. Such a large screen also requires a large battery. Under the hood, the Xiaomi Mi MIX Fold is assumed to come with a 6000mAh battery.

In addition, the Xiaomi Mi MIX Fold will sport stereo speakers and screen fingerprint scanner. The edges of the screen are curved. The machine should be equipped with a Snapdragon 865 CPU and 12GB of RAM. In fact, there is no such chip yet.

The source thinks it will be priced at around $999.
