Yesterday evening, Lu Weibing said on Weibo, ‘The Xiaomi CC9 Pro will also be delisted immediately. All of the 4G products above 2,000 yuan ($285) will be cleared … 5G has arrived, and no one can stop it …’
In the fourth quarter of last year, Xiaomi accelerated the conversion speed from 4G to 5G, and 4G smartphones left almost no inventory.

In the interview after the Xiaomi Mi 10 launch, some media asked Lei Jun ‘What changes will happen in the smartphone industry this year? For the Chinese smartphone industry, what is the most important thing at the moment?’ Lei Jun stated that ‘this year is the year when 5G technology is really popular. Xiaomi fired the first shot of 5G. The high-quality Redmi K30 5G phone that costs only 1999 yuan ($285) is very popular. Xiaomi is fully prepared for 5G, and almost no inventory was left in the fourth quarter of last year, making it easy to enter the battlefield.’
According to Xiaomi’s plan, it will deploy more than 10 5G smartphones this year, and its product line is very complete.
