POCO is a sub-brand of Xiaomi that is focusing on overseas markets and comes with products that have a great price-performance ratio. After the release of the Redmi K30 overseas version, POCO X2 in February, there are rumors that the POCO F2 Pro will be released as a new flagship. But now it seems that there is not only a model of the POCO F2 Pro, but also another model will be launched soon. Today, according to some media reports, a new device called POCO M2 Pro appeared on the Indian website.

It is reported that the website lists the SAR value test data of the new Xiaomi POCO M2 Pro. The model of the device is ‘M2003J6CI’. According to analysis, the codename of the device is ‘gram’ and the firmware of ‘gram_in_global’ is also displayed. In other words, this indicates that the phone will be available in India.

Interestingly, the code name ‘gram’ also appeared in the Redmi Note 9 Pro kernel source code. And the ‘gram’ watermark also appeared in the Redmi Note 9 Pro firmware. So if nothing else, the POCO M2 Pro is going to be the ‘Indian’ variant of the Redmi Note 9 Pro. In this sense, if this assumption is true, we can take its features and give them to the new handset.
Because the Note 9 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G, it is speculated that the upcoming POCO M2 Pro may also use the same SoC. But this cannot be determined at this time. However, what is certain is that the POCO M2 Pro will be a mid-range smartphone with Snapdragon 7 series processors.
