Recently, Xiaomi India officially announced that India’s first 5G smartphone, the Xiaomi concept phone MIX Alpha, were launched on India’s Xiaomi Home.
Xiaomi India’s official post stated that India’s first 5G smartphone MIX Alpha can be purchased at two Xiaomi homes in Bangalore (is coming to select Mi Homes), and then the sale location will be expanded to 8 stores in other Indian cities.
It’s unclear how much MIX Alpha’s Indian pricing is, but Xiaomi India should soon announce it as well. Xiaomi released the 5G era concept phone MIX Alpha on September 24, 2019. The price of the phone is 19999 yuan ($2845). It was originally planned to be listed at the end of December 2019. However, the official launch date has not yet been announced.
As a concept phone in the 5G era, the Alpha has explored a new form of smartphone. It uses a surround screen solution, that is, the body is surrounded by a whole screen, extending from the front to the sides to the back.

The company emphasized that the Alpha has achieved a number of technological breakthroughs, including innovative flexible screen layering solutions, innovative flexible screen fingerprint unlocking, and innovative screen sounding technology.
In the core configuration, the Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha uses a 7.92-inch flexible OLED display with a resolution of 2088 × 2250. It is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus flagship platform, 12GB memory + 512GB storage combination, a battery of 4050mAh, and supports 40W wired flash charging.
