The first dual-fold smartphone: Free switching between smartphones and tablets
On January 23, 2019, Xiaomi’s Lin Bin announced Xiaomi’s dual-folding phone.
It stacks up as a smartphone and unfolds as a tablet. Thus, it brings not only the smartphone’s portability but also the large field of view of the tablet.
This is Xiaomi’s first folding-screen phone and the first dual-folding phone on the market. Completely independently developed by Xiaomi, it not only achieves a zero-degree inflection angle but also independently developed a ‘four-wheel folding hinge system’.
First 20W wireless flash charge
On February 20, 2019, the Xiaomi Mi 9 was released with the first 20W wireless flash charge, which is standard on all models. The Xiaomi Mi 9 uses a new wireless charging hardware architecture and a half-voltage direct charging solution, which greatly improves the efficiency and can reach a maximum power of 20W.
In addition, the Xiaomi Mi 9 also comes with a 20W wireless car charger. Thus, it can not only be flash charged at home but also in the car.
Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 5G: Xiaomi’s first 5G phone and the first to realize 8K video online playback
On February 24, 2019, at the Xiaomi MWC2019 conference, Xiaomi’s first 5G smartphone the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 5G version was officially released. This handset adopts Qualcomm’s new generation flagship mobile platform Snapdragon 855. Also, it is equipped with the X50 5G modem and Xiaomi smart antenna switching technology. As a result, the download speed is up to 2Gbps.

Under-Screen Camera Technology
On June 3, 2019, Xiaomi announced the latest in-screen camera technology: Xiaomi Invisible Screen.
The Xiaomi Invisible Screen can effectively avoid the visual splitting caused by the bangs screen and waterdrop screen. This is a genuine full-screen display. When taking a selfie, the screen above the front camera can be turned into a “transparent” state. So light can fully enter without affecting the front camera at all.
Xiaomi MIX Alpha: First surround screen smartphone
On September 24, 2019, the Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha was released. It is the first surround screen handset. When the screen lights up, the front, side, and back of the phone are almost all screens. The surround screen allows the Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha to achieve a screen ratio of an amazing 180.6%.

First 100-megapixel camera in mass production
On November 5, 2019, the first Xiaomi CC9 Pro with a 100MP camera went on sale. It adopts the first ultra-high 100MP camera on the market and the oversized custom 1/1.33” smartphone photosensitive elements. It is equipped with a 7P lens and dual OIS.
