Asus ROG 2 will be the First Device to Run on the Snapdragon 855 Plus

Recently, news hit our ears that Qualcomm has announced its next update in the processor chip to make it Snapdragon 855 Plus. It improved the strength and performance by 15% than the previous version Snapdragon 855.

Now, we have news that Asus has declared that its upcoming flagship device Asus ROG 2. It is going to be the first smartphone to install the Snapdragon 855 Plus processor.

The updated version 855 Plus is very identical to the previous edition Snapdragon 855. But it covers some improvements like higher clocks, and the CPU running frequency of 2.96 GHz. Previously, it was 2.84 GHz. No doubt, it will enhance the CPU performance by 4.2%.

Furthermore, the Adreno 640 Graphics Card in the Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset has also been boosted up. Now, it is ensuring a 15% improvement as compared to the previous Snapdragon 855.

The Snapdragon 855 Plus will Boost the Performance up

If we look overall, the Snapdragon 855 Plus will bring a revolution in overall handset performance. As the CPU is the brain of any computer system. Whenever it is made familiar to the new modules, it makes the performance much higher than expected. That could be the reason the company is embedding the chipset with the new processor update.

The announcement by the company stands with the launch of the original ROG Phone. This phone installs a binned edition of the Snapdragon 845, which used slightly higher cocks to perform.

Therefore, the only difference is that the original ROG Phone is the only handset to equip that particular processor. Further, the Snapdragon 855 Plus will come with all OEMs and Asus is just the first one to hire it.

The Asus ROG 2 is scheduled to launch on 23 July 2019.
