Yesterday, Redmi officially announced through Weibo that the Redmi Note 7 series has sold 20 million units worldwide. This is not a small number, which means that the Redmi brand’s independent products are very popular. Interestingly, this brand is popular not only in the Chinese market but in the overseas markets also. Today, the company used its Weibo channel to announce the Redmi Note 8 series will be released with the Redmi Smart TV on August 29.

The official announcement says there will be two models of the Redmi’s Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro. From the poster, we can see that the Redmi Note 8 series will be equipped with a 64-megapixel camera. Prior to this, we learned that Redmi’s first 64MP sensor will be based on Samsung’s GW1 CMOS. In addition to the main camera, there are two more sensors, while the fourth camera lens is placed under the flash.
The Redmi’s Note 8 will also use a rear-mounted fingerprint recognition module, which means that this series does not support the screen fingerprint recognition. In addition, according to Xiaomi’s official information, the Redmi Note 8 series will use NFC and fast charge of more than 10W.
At the beginning of the year, the Redmi Note 7 series’ Pro and the non-Pro versions differ only in the main camera resolution and the charging head. So the Redmi’s Note 8 Pro and the non-Pro version may only be the difference of 64MP. Detailed information will be published on August 29.
