Today, Xiaomi Wallet got a new function -non-NFC phones support Mi Pay!
At the same time, as the release of Xiaomi Mi 10 in February, Xiaomi Wallet also released smart card selection and non-NFC model Mi Pay scan code payment technology. After a period of technical testing, it has finally matured.

At present, this function supports three models of Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 5, and Redmi 6. But they should be updated to the latest development version to become eligible using this feature.
MI Pay is Xiaomi’s own mobile payment service. The overall solution is similar to Apple Pay. It also uses an NFC solution. Thus, Xiaomi phones with NFC capabilities can use it. Moreover, the interface is similar to Apple Pay.
The user can bind the bank card through the Xiaomi Wallet application, enter the card number, expiration date, and the phone number associated with the bank card. After, the system will issue a verification code to the user’s phone. After completing the filling, the Mi Card payment function of the bank card can be completed.
The process of opening Mi Pay for Xiaomi non-NFC smartphones is similar. The user only needs to open the Xiaomi Wallet app in the MIUI system, click ‘Mi Pay’ to add a bank card, and complete the information authentication. The user can double-click the power button to verify the fingerprint wakeup.
